Will be 2 in the summer.

What is best age for them to start partime? She is very sociable.

I know govt grant runs from 3 years old, but they did once talk about one from 2 years old which has mysteriously disappeared from the agenda.

Anyway when do they start to benefit from extra kids? She is with a childminder ATM and is quite happy. Just thinking ahead!

My dd turned 2 last May and started playschool in September. Just two afternoons per week, but she loves it, chats about her friends, does lots of messy things like painting and glitter, dressing up etc. She was even involved in a little nativity play befre Christmas. I'll keep her on 2 afternons per week until next September, it'll increase to 3-4 sessions then. I have to pay her fee until the term after she turns 3, so she'll have had a year of me paying, then a year free, then school. It did help that dd was pretty good at talking and she was potty trained, some won't take them unless they are potty trained, but alot will. She was shy of adults though so I was a bit worried, but she's fine.
