Sorry if this is common knowledge, but I was wondering where all of the staff at SJP have gone and more importantly why?

No real explanation was given to why the manager Maria left and it was only at the play that I realised Nicola and Sarah were no longer there! And no Natasha as well? Barely recognised any of the staff!

If I had realised it was a brand new team, I probably would have pulled DS out of there. Doesn't seem good that all of the main staff members are gone...

DS now left from reception, but don't think I'll be sending DD there when the time comes.

This is unfortunately the reality of early years at the moment.

Give the new staff a chance though, a new team is always a challenge but as they're all new together they will probably bond as a team better than one person trying to integrate. I think it's unfair that the idea of a new team makes you want to pull out straight away.

(not affiliated with the preschool, not sure this board is the right place for your specific question - try local facebook?)

Thanks for replying.

Whilst I get that this is the reality of most nurseries, after talking with another mum in real life, it seems that this is the exception and not the norm. One of the selling points for me was that the staff were a well established team who really put the children's needs first. I just find it unnerving that four long established members (all been at this nursery for ten plus years respectively) have all upped and left at pretty much the same time. From what I can see on the website, only one original staff member is remaining and they're now managing the team of newbies. I know they're very friendly with the committee that run everything so maybe that has something to do with it?

It's almost brushed under the carpet in real life so I don't want to out myself by posting on FB. Hoping a fellow mum will come along or better yet one of the much missed staff members.
