Dulwich Prep & Herne Hill - nursery & reception

Would be very keen to hear from anyone with insights into DPL and Herne Hill School. We have an offer from the former for nursery (3+) and hopefully the assessment for HH went well and might result in an offer. I hear great things on the threads about DPL for the older students, but keen to hear about nursery and reception as well.

The two schools are very different!!

My friends son joined DPL at 3 and is just finishing reception and he is very happy there and so is she.

My daughter went to nursery at Herne Hill and we had a great experience and I couldn't recommend the school more highly.

In the end, I think the decision is probably down to if you want co-ed, convenience of the location, and if you plan to do the 7+ or the 11+ (neither school explicitly prepares for the 4+ but many kids at Herne Hill do well in the 4+ assessments for the major Dulwich schools).
