Avenue (Highgate) v Norfolk House (Muswell Hill)?

We're debating between Norfolk House School and Avenue Pre-prep for a 3-year-old and would love to hear if anyone has views on either? From first impressions, Avenue seemed more academically-geared and formal, while Norfolk seemed more relaxed. Thanks!

Where do you want your DC to go after?

Highgate and Channing are top of our list arm though also considering the Hampstead independents. Ideally we'd like to get her in as early as poss if she passes the assessments, i.e. at 4+ or 7+ rather than at 11+ but we know it's competitive!

Definitely the Avenue then - 11+ is also pretty fierce so definitely go for the 4+ (or 7+)

Have you also looked at Annemount or Clowns for 4+?

Thanks! We looked at Clowns but logistically difficult from where we are. They seem to be the main feeder for Channing at 4+? Comments we'd seen about Annemount seem a bit, err, divisive!

Clowns is less than 10 min from The Avenue. Worth a look as a great school.
