I don’t think this is reasonable behaviour is it?
We registered dd to be considered for a place at a school nursery and paid the admin fee. Then we got a letter not saying one way or the other if she would get a place or when we would find out, worded in a way that seemed intent on keeping us hanging on with no indication of when we’d receive an answer.
They told me before registration that they had spaces immediately.
Tbh, I am now thinking that if they are happy to just take £60 off someone and 2 weeks later, radio silence, then it’s just rude. We are looking at other nurseries too.
Has anyone else come across this? My gut feeling says they are more intent on looking after their business model than caring about young children. Maybe we don’t want to enrol for enough hours? But if so they should just send us a polite decline.
