hello

what do you recommend? I was looking at a lovely website (they had a stall at a fair near our house) www.drumsforschools.co.uk

apart from percussion instruments, what is good for a pre-schooler? any recommendations for encouraging them to experiment?

What about one of those whistles that has a stick up the middle that goes in and out to alter the tone? Sorry - I'm not describing that very well, but hopefully you'll know what I mean.

Xylophone, obviously.

Any percussion instruments - especially if you make your own maracas.

forty plus the instrument you are describing is called a swannee whistle.
Good idea about making your own instruments. Boomwhackers are good too. Sort of long different length tubes that you bang on the floor.

This is good - music and science together.
