Do you mean on the Pre-School Committee?

I have done that in the past. I joined it thinking it was a PTA style thing but soon learned that it was much more! Pre-School Committees are often emplyers and there can be little to do, if it is all set up well and running smoothly, or tons to do if any issues crop up.
