Montessori advice please?

Can anyone tell me I'm what benefits they have found from sending a child to a Montessori nursery? I'm interested to try this for my second child.

DD3 loved it. She was able to learn through exploration. Different Montessori schools have different levels of commitment to the theory, though. Our Montessori weren't particularly bothered about the idea of dress up clothes hindering imagination, but they did stick to using real tools, real crockery, etc.
