Moving to Forest Gate from Newington Green

Hi all,
My partner and our 1 yr old son are moving from Newington Green to Forest Gate in the next couple of months. We don't know anyone in the area, and looking for things/groups to perhaps join so we can meet people.

Has anyone made the same move and found any social activities?

Came across your post and wondered how you are finding forest gate? We’re looking to potentially move to FG in the next year or so...

I’ve got a four and two year old and heard there are quite a lot of young families in the area. The last year hasn’t been in any way normal but do you think it’s a good place to bring up kids?
