Has anyone's child regressed with wanting to go?

DS is 3.5 and started Pre school last week, the first day he want he was absolutely fine no tears and really excited to go.
This morning however he's been asking what time he's going and saying 'I'm not going yet?' Not yet mummy. And he started to get tearful.
I don't understand why he was fine the first time he went in but is now getting a bit upset about going?
Had this happened with anyone else?
Thanks 😊

Hi,

Nursery teacher here (and reception before that).

Yes!! This is completely normal...week 2/3 is prime time for children to get tired, realise that it is every day and become reluctant to go.

Just keep being positive and reassuring and if you're able to speak to the teacher - they will be very used to this.

Hopefully this will pass quickly and he will be back to loving it!!
