Berkhamsted nurseries and playparks

First time poster here!

We’re considering a move to Berkhamsted and I’ve found so much useful information on Mumsnet about primary and secondary schools (summary seems to be that all schools are pretty good which is great news!). However our little ones will likely be 1-2 and 3-4 by the time we move, so I wonder if anyone has any feedback on nurseries? Both general (ie how hard it is to get places) and specific (any to avoid / that are great)?

Also, my google research (!) doesn’t seem to show many playparks in Berkhamsted - can anyone point me in the direction of any? Particularly in the Shootersway vicinity?

Thanks so much in advance!

pooh corner day nursery is worth a look, it has great reviews on the facebook pages by current and past parents
en-gb.facebook.com/poohcornerdaynursery/
it is also around a 15 min cycle ride/5 min drive from shootersway

Canal Fields is the main park and it has play equipment, picnic tables etc. It's around a 15 min cycle ride from shootersway. there is a list of play areas in the area here

all the best x

Hi Erob192,

We are considering the same move as yiu and will have children the same age you mentioned when they come I. To start nursery and register for schools. Did you end up moving to Berkhamsted and have any advice? Would really appreciate it.

Many thanks
Jacqui
