DS is 3.7 and has been going to creche/nursery since he was about 18 months old. We've just moved to America, it's all ben quite an upheaval but he's settled into the new house and surroudings really well. He's a good wee boy!
So I found him this charming pre-school, honestly, it's the American dream, white picket fences, loads of lovely teachers, toys, books, crafty stuff etc etc. Fot the forst few days he was fine, but by about day 5 he suddenly flipped and was screaming his head off, blind panic, pulling at my top to drag me back, really hysterical, out of control stuff. The teachers made me leave and I called when I got home and they said he'd settled down and was fine. This happened a couple more times, then he was ok, then this morning ot was the same al over again.
I have resorted to bribery, you know, I'll get you a toy/ice cream/whatever you want if you stay here and stop crying, and now every day when I pick him up I have to keep my promise and take him to get him a 'treat'. Or the tantrums start all over again. How do I break this cycle? I'm going nuts - also have a 7 month old dd to cope with!
