English/Scottish dilemma

Hello, I would really appreciate any advice... my son was born early July 2017. We are going to send him to an English curriculum for nursery and reception starting this September all being well. We will probably move to Edinburgh after his reception year. My question is what year would he go into in Scotland. Would he go into P1? Thank you so much

Born July 2017 due to start primary one in August 2022

Thanks for your response. So he would be ok to start P1 even though he would've completed reception year?
