Inadequate ofsted report at daughters preschool

As above, we found out the preschool my daughter is at had effectively failed it’s ofsted. It’s her last term before moving to reception in another school. I’m
Absolutely gutted and angry this has happened as it’s so close to her leaving but I feel I need to move her as they failed on safeguarding and the educational outcome for her age group.
It means she misses her school
Graduation, sports day, a friends etc. I’m so angry this is happening right before she’s leaves in July. So angry.

More of a rant this post. I’m going to remove her and not give notice or pay as the welfare and education is compromised.

What do other parents feel/going to do?

If you feel her safety and preparedness for school is being affected then obviously you need to find a different preschool.
It is a shame though so close to the end. What have management said? They surely have a plan of how to improve. I’d look at that first before making any decisions.

What have they said about safeguarding?
I would be concerned but would want to understand if it's 1 accident/issue or an on going issue. Is it something hugely major or missing paperwork??

If you were happy up-to-now I wouldn't make a knee-jerk decision but I would definitely be concerned.

I have been unhappy for a while and raised twice with management who

There’s been lots of issues - a little boy hurt himself badly and needed surgery and none of the staff any any idea how he was hurt.
That was in a younger class to my daughter.
Issue I have if I love the staff in my daughters class but I do think she is bored and they are not preparing her for school. She has a lots of friends and is always happy but I just feel
Conned by the nursery now...

Wanted to leave there in July and draw a line but I feel I would be a bad parent leaving her there and not wanting the best for her.

My concern moving her now would be how easily she settles - you’d have two transitions in a short space of time.

In what way do you feel they aren’t getting her school ready? Is this a feeder nursery to her new school? Will most of the children to to her new school?

This issue is the nursery failed on safeguarding and states that children are not being prepared for next step in education (primary school). Children were observed bored. Observation is non existent... on and on... I understand the upheaval and I feel really sad I have to do this ... I just don’t feel it’s fair on her.
I have grown to love the key workers etc and it’s nothing against them.

The safeguarding failures would really concern me. Is she physically safe there ??

I wouldn't react with a knee-jerk to an OFSTED report. I would find out the detail and see what the management said about it.
Safeguarding is a scary word, but sometimes it is literally about not getting the right paperwork in place.

Don't get me wrong - there are some terrible Nurseries out there - places that I can't understand why anyone would leave a child there but they are generally like that before OFSTED walk through the door. It doesn't appear that you think this is one of those Nurseries.

I've also worked with Nurseries who are excellent in many ways but cock up occasionally on paperwork which can lead to a bad OFSTED.

You might find it really difficult to get a place elsewhere at this point in the year. You may find she misses pre-school. You may find she struggles to settle elsewhere if she gets a place.
Of course, you may sail into anther Nursery and she may love it. We don't know. But do find out the detail of what has gone wrong, and what Nursery are doing to put it right, before walking away.

Oh, and if you are contractually tied in to a notice period, walking without paying might not make sense.

There was an incident whereby a child was hurt and needed surgery - that’s why ofsted visited. During the visit they found loads of other issues with the observation not being adequate, the older children not having age appropriate toys, no outdoor play etc etc

Due to the welfare and educationally needs being compromised, i can break my contract with them.

I think the issues were in the baby room (which is horrific) and also
