Hi there
We are checking out both Habs and NLCS as potential schools for our daughter and considering moving closer to both if either seem a good match.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of which pre schools in the same area do well with preparing girls for the 4+ entrance?

We’re attending school in action days in June and September and if all goes well plan to move to Radlett or other nearby location to ensure a short daily commute.

We’ve heard Whizzkids pre school does well at preparing girls for both schools. Can anyone recommend any others?

Thanks! 🙂

my friends daughter went to willows nursery and preschool and she got into HABS. Each child there is given a learning journal so you can see what they have been doing, and there are parents evenings. the children are also allocated a key member of staff who keeps you up to date on how your child is progressing. all the best x

Thank you sleepismysuperpower1

I shall have a look at willows nursery.
I’ve also found that First Place is another good one.

Each feeder place varies in performance each year. Whizkids do well one year and other times don't get any in. Not sure about cricket nursery but I'm sure mumteacher1 has in-depth behind the scenes knowledge of that establishment. It would be good to visit cricket in harrow as I think the owner is geared towards prepping young ones for private school assessments.

From an insider's knowledge based on what iI asked other NLCS parents at parties and other social events, here's some places that frequently get at least one girl into NLCS junior school at least once a year or two....
Whizkids....but not great for working parents
Clowns in golders green
Fountain Montessori Edgware
Mulberry house in cricklewood/kilburn (no it's not in West Hampstead)... This has the highest number I think.....

@Goodchild Hi I don't know if you've found something already. I've heard of Mulberry and Clowns doing well too. Another one is Hampstead Hill in Hampstead.

This article has a rundown of good nurseries in North London: www.masandpas.com/nurseries-in-north-london/

Hope this helps x
