Best STATE schools boys/co-ed in HA7 (or surrounding)

Hello everyone!

I am new here, infact its my first post! I apologise if this is the millionth post on this, but i could find loads on private schools, not so much on state!

My son is 2 yr 7 mth old. He currently is going to nursery from 2yr-3yr then 3 year old free education kicks in.

My question is in the area of stanmore/ edgware/ mill hill and surrounding areas, what are the top STATE schools (unfortunately although i would absolutely love to, i can't afford to go private).

Also, is it possible to get into such state schools which maybe out of catchment area? Eg, ive heard that Courtland School in Mill Hill is a state school but with an excellent reputation- is it even worth applying to? If i am limited to catchment only then does anyone know of the best schools in the HA7 catchment area?

I should add, hes a bright spark, he is doing well at nursery, is above his peers and is more in line with the 3-4 year olds. He is a big talker and has a very caring nature.

I want the best for him in life (as we all do) so im looking to see if a state school with an excellent reputation can be applied to. Eg Henrietta Barnet has an excellent reputation and is often compared to NLCS although one is free education and one is not. Likewise, i want to find an amazing boys/ co-ed preschool to send him to from when he's 3 or 4 years old. I dont have friends around here with children so am genuinely so in search for some help!

Thank you guys SO much!

Priestmead Primary is a great local school and should be within your catchment too.

St. Vincent's in Mill Hill is also excellent.

Worth looking at schoolcatchment.co.uk for schools realistically in your reach?
