Just that. I keep seeing one offering mandarin and other interesting things I just wonder if its all to much for the little ones. What have you all found?

For me it is a 'gut feeling', but I'd suggest you think about:

Cleanliness
How long staff have been there (high turnover of staff isn't generally a good sign)
Access to outside, and what the outside area is like
The way the staff are interacting with / speaking to the dc when you look round
What food is served ? - Is there a cook on the premises, or are the EY Practitioners expected to take turns as part of their duties ? - Do they get cooked meals / veg etc or a lot of pre-prepared 'freezer to oven' stuff? You might have other thoughts about vegetarian options or medical needs or some other dietary requirements or preferences
Parking and location.... people will rarely admit how important this is when you are dropping off / picking up before and after work and time is crucial
Cost - you need to ensure you are comparing like for like - one might charge more or less for hourly rate but then charge separately for more things or expect you to provide more things
What happens if the parents don't want to pay 'extra' for Mandarin or yoga or music or whatever the latest fad is
