Does your child to go a preschool attached to school?

If so, what things does the pre-school/nursery do that you really like?

We've had a feedback sheet and I'm really positive about ours - I love it. I'm struggling to make any suggestions for improvements so though there might be things going on out there that I don't know about that would be good to implement in our school.

DSs current pre-school joins the primary 1 class for PE which I thought was a nice touch and good way of integrating them with older children.

Yes, our nursery is attached to schooland the nursery 'classroom' is right next door to 2 reception classrooms so they go into reception classrooms for story time and they use the hall for PE and also go to some assemblies. THey have recently been going into the 'big playground' to get htem a little bit used to the bigger environment and the playtime routine for going out and lining up to come back in.

I just feel really lame not making any suggestions for improvements! I can't think of any!

Our nursery is joined to the school as well.
When the children go into reception class, one of the nursery teachers spend first term with them.
Helps them settle in and great for continuity.
The children also see quite a lot of the reception teachers and the LSA's so already feel confident.

I've spent this year dropping off and picking up at school and nursery 1 mile apart from each other - roll on september!

Do they have a 'buddy' in the infants, maybe a currrent year 1 that they can look to in the playground?

They don't have a specific buddy but the playground has a 'buddy stop' where children can go if they have nobody to play with - there are older children 'on duty' there to help them.

I have 2 other kids in the school so they always look out for each other.
Saying that, my daughter in nursery does know some or the reception children, and they always look out for the younger ones.

Our school is lovely, they start in nursery at age 3 and stay there till age 11.

Our school has a friendship bench, and if a child has no one to play with they sit and wait for a friend.
