Does anyone send their lo's to a Montessori nursery and if so, is it worth it?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes, and yes because it's a 2 minute walk from home rather than a 15 minute trek across the village! And I strongly suspect the DS is having no more or less fun and education than he would at the other pre-school in the village...

Yes my dd goes and has been very happy there and learnt a lot but not sure if its because its a montessori! Although I do think they get a chance to try a wider range of activities. I would be guided by your instinct and look at a few different ones (including ordinary pre-schools).

I think lots of nurseries are run along Montessori lines now, the big difference happens if you stay in the Montessori system after that.
Though I think they just do lots more of the putting things away in boxes maybe?

Thanks everyone.

From what I've seen, it seems like a great place with a lovely atmosphere and is literally just around the corner!

Was just wondering how different it really is to a 'normal' nursery as it's significanty more expensive.

I think it depends on your child's age. If it's a baby, probably not a huge difference between Montessori and classical nursery. (I had DS in one and DD in another type.)

She's 2.3 at the moment, number two due in August, so want to hopefully get something set up by then?

Already worrying about leaving her somewhere!!
