I'd like to sign my 8yrs old son up for Chinese classes. Which way is the best, a 1 to 1 Chinese tutor at home, online Chinese programmes, or crash courses at some institutions?

I've heard that mandarin is difficult to master. Some of my friends said that oral practice is really important. Perhaps you should invite a tutor to teach your child or find online activities that contain speaking or communicating with others if prefer a cheaper price and flex time.

Hello, thank you for giving me advice. If I'd like to fine some online activities, what can I turn to?

If you want your son to master the tones then a tutor would be more effective. If you want to practise recognising characters there are several websites - www.memrise.com is free and good for learning characters

Yup, my boy regards Chinese pinyin fresh and lively. I'd like to learn together with him. Thanks for the website, I'll have a look.

You can look through some websites in google or search for advice in some Facebook groups. I came across a programme in the forum called GrowAlong Education; it seems to be suitable for your need.
