I feel your frustration (pre-school chair speaking). Sometimes it's really enjoyable but other times it's a PITA.

Can't you ask the Chair if someone can deputise for you for a couple of weeks? At least with doing the banking/paying bills etc.

Unreasonable. Tell them to eff off until you're better! I was Chair of a pre school for a year and it was bloody hard work!

Inform the Chair about all of this and make her send a note to everyone else.

chaired for two years - bloody hard work, loads of hassle and not much reward.

If they are treating you like this resign. you need to get better - you don't need this. No-one will think any less of you.
