Nursery or Preschool? Depends on the school I suppose, but I'd ring them tbh. DD is due to start in sept/oct too, and we had our letter before the last half term (deadline for us to accept the place was mid March iirc)

I'd wait another couple of weeks.

Ds is down for one and my sis who worked there said they usually wait until after easter to start contacting people.

preschool as in from age 3? if so, check ur local council website for the dates they send the letters out..its end of april here.

If its playschol from 2.5 then maybe give it a week or so (it is the hols after all) and then ring

Biglips · 12/04/2007 10:58

I'd ring them if I were you.

I had my little one's name down for 18 months before she was supposed to start, the nursery hadn't contacted me 2 months before she was due to start, so I rang them and it seemed they had forgotten me (and I had paid a registration fee!) and they didn't have any of the days available that I initially wanted! Grrr!!

Biglips · 12/04/2007 22:18

i think thats the best idea. ill call them tmrw as no harm is done (gulp!)

I put DS1's name down months before he was due to start and got a call about a month before his first day.

ChasingRabbits · 12/04/2007 22:22

they probably wont be there tomorrow as it's still easter hols, but worth a try, if you dont get a reply ring again on monday when most places should be back

Biglips · 12/04/2007 22:22

i suppose it depends whether they are oversubscribed or not? at ours its a small one but in a small area, and everyone i know who wants a place has got one.
