What happens when DS is offered a nursery place, I accept but then decide he isn't going?

Can I withdraw my acceptance?

Nursery place offers are 26th April and need to accept by 4th May. There's a possibility that DS may be offered a place at a specialist speech and language nursery. But the panel for that doesn't meet til the end of May sometime. So can I accept the nursery place and then withdraw if he gets a place at the specialist nursery?

Yes. It might be nice if you pre-warned the nursery this might happen, but in reality it won't make any odds to them. They will be used to people changing their minds!

(I'm assuming here this is for your free hours place and it's a state nursery - if it's a private nursery they might ask you to pay something and you should check your Ts and Cs).

Thanks. Yes, free hours and state nursery. Pre warning them might be a good idea too.
