Any advice? DS starting new pre-school, last one was a nightmare!

DS used to attend a nursery and then when he reached 3 years old moved up into their pre-school room. The nursery he loved the pre-school he hated which resulted in screaming and hysteria the minute we got onto the road from home and he realised where we were going.

Never managed to find a specific reason that he didn't like it apart from 'mummy wasn't there' and a lady he didn't like. He was always fine when I had left although didn't join in particularly well.

He left there at the end of November due to them not being able to offer me the days I needed. From next week he is starting the nursery of the private school where DD attends (she is in year 5). We have told him it is 'school' and he seems ok at the moment.

Any advice to make the settling in period work? I'm so scared we are heading back to hysteria again We are doing 3 settling in periods this week then next Tuesday he's there by himself all day. I'm so scared!

Sorry this was long and thank you for getting this far!
