Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience of St Andrews Montessori nursery in Thornhill Square? We've been offered a place and I liked it when we looked around. However it is expensive and I just wanted to get some first hand reports of possible before accepting! What are the advantages of a preschool like this compared to other nurseries?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
I didn't want to read and run, as I've benefited from many school postings on the boards in the past! We have a child at St Andrew's at the moment, and we couldn't be happier with it. It is a lovely nurturing environment, and the settling in process was very well handled. Many staff have been there a long time, and they are very approachable. My child ran in on her first day without looking back, and it has been the same each day since! We made our decision based on convenience in terms of location, size of the classes, and the feel of the place. I am sure there are lots of great nurseries around, so find one that feels right for you and your child! Hope this helps.

Oh yes, and apparently one of the advantages is supposed to be the links/preparation for entry to the pre-prep schools... We're not at that stage yet, and still don't know what route we're going down, so I can't judge how successful they are at getting children into their chosen schools.

Thanks Mummy2N1! I have only just seen your post. I appreciate your feedback. We're going to see a few more nurseries before we make our decision but your post was really helpful.

Hi there, did you end up choosing St Andrews? Any feedback please, I have been offered a place and I am wondering if it is much better than a regular nursery ?
My husband and I work so it is more complicated for us with the short hours and long holidays. Thank you!
