Just asking to be nosy really!

Do most 3 year olds who are in Nursery environments do 5 sessions? How many people have a 3 year old at home the whole time?

DS starts in Zjanuary as he turns three next week. His first week is three days to settle him in (afternoons 12:45 a 3:45) then five afternoon sessions.
Chose the full 15 hours because he is very ready for it.

2.5 days / 25 hours a week. Two full days (8-6) and one half day (8-1).

My daughter done 3 mornings a week for about two weeks, but she asked to go every morning so I changed it. My 3 year old Ds is starting nursery next week and he's going to go 5 days a week, My daughter is in the reception class only next door, they will mix together for a hour at play to lurn, so it will be easier for him. x

From around 2 DD was in 3 * 3 hours, quickly rising to 4x3 hours at a playgroup made up of 2 and 3 year olds, she was the only child in that setting going the full 4 days, but it was pay (but very cheap actually for the provision) and being so limited hours was made up of people who didn't generally need full childcare. But was designed so that kids not yet eligible for the free care could get some away from home care.

Once she got the free hours, at a different nursery she did 4 hours a day for 5 days, all the 3 and 4 year olds seem to do the same full 5 days for either 3 or 4.

From the experience I would really encourage everyone to try and find some time away from parents in a play group / nursery setting. DD has done great from it.

My September born 3 year old did does two days 9-3 (actually 9.30-2.30 as I drop off/pick up around the school run, I tend to work those days. She will go to school nursery in Sept when she is 4 to do 5 x mornings.

I'm about to go on ML with DC2 so DS is dropping down from 8-6pm 5 days a week to 3 9-3pm days at a local preschool.

The childcare bill is going to drop from £850 per month to £80!!
