Do I send 3yo DD to private nursery or nursery attached to school?

DD is just 3 and will get her 15 free hours this new school term. She has a place for 3 hours every day (8.45-11.45) at a local nursery that is attached to the primary school, I guess they expect me to send her to that school but I'm moving so will be sending her to a different primary school that doesn't have a nursery as long as she gets in.

I rang a private nursery asking if I could use my 15 free hours with them and they said yes but it equates to just 1.5 days so a long day then half a day. Sounds fine to me but I wonder if going from 1.5 days at nursery to 5 full days at actual school is too much to ask? She is a June baby so will be only just 4 when she starts school. She is quite socialised but has only been at a childminders 1 day and my moms 1 day so far with her brother who is 19 months.
I intend to send her to the school nursery but I've just worked it out and it's going to cost me a fortune in childcare after and before nursery when I'm at work so I'm hugely out of pocket!!!

Thanks

You just send her to the best nursery for you.

My DS will be doing both - mornings at school nursery with wrap around care at a private nursery.

I need FT childcare.
DS2 will be doing what DS1 did: 2.5 days in a school nursery, with the other 2.5 days in the same day nursery which is doing the before and after school with his brother.
It means wednesdays are very messy, and I need to leave work to shuffle him about, but I think the two environments are very different. I know all settings follow the same curriculum, but I think it is presented very differently in the school setting.

Can you not continue doing what you are at the moment: a day with the childminder, a day with your Mum, and presumably the other 3 days with you?

I can do but I just think that doing that then shoving her into school 5 full days a week might be too much. She is with me 3 days a week but we don't do much, nothing that will get her ready for a classroom! Just pottering about :)

I can't actually thinking about it, I've given notice and she's already filled the space :(
