I put ds name down at a school when he was about three. All this meant was they sent me the application form at the correct time, this was the December before.

I've just got a letter from the LEA for my 3.5yr old detailing the primary application process - I have to collect a form and info pack from the nearest primary school from mid sept, fill in and return by nov to ensure I get considered for my choices for intake in sept 2006/jan 2007.

therefore if same procedure in your LEA, you'll have to do this in Sept 2008

check your LEA website as they'll probably be info for procedure on there

Almost 5. Your LEA will send you a pack around the Autumn before with details of the application procedure.

it will be sept 2009, Ds is oct 03 and he starts school nursery next sept and the reception class in sept 08 so he will be 5 4wks after he starts school. If school has a nursery then you tend to put their names down/fill in forms the school year they are two.
