How many days are normal for a preschool to be closed per year during term time - over 10?

My older child was at a nursery linked to a primary school, which was closed 5 days out of 39 weeks, in line with the primary school.
Now my younger child is at a preschool, which has a term time of 39 weeks, but is closed at least 7 mornings to set up before holidays or clear out the classroom before holidays, plus training days, which means it's closed for over 10 mornings. Is that normal?

The nursery where I work used to close for between 3 and 5 days at the beginning of each term so that the teacher could do home visits. It doesn't happen anymore as I felt it was unreasonable for parents to have to find childcare for their pre-school age child when their older children had already started back at school.

Now, we only close on the same INSET days as the rest of the school as the TAs and I (teacher) attend the training.

If they are offering funded sessions then they need to be open long enough to offer 570 hours to each funded child per year.

In our area the LEA says that means being open for over 190 days per year (so allowing 3h per day) but I'm not sure if that is national.

You might need to do some adding up to make sure you get access to your child's full 570h a year.
