We are based in Aus. Dd is just 3 and will start school in Jan 2016.

There are no nurseries here like in the uk. She is now old enough for pre school which goes from 9-3 on 2 or 3 days a week There are no half day options.

We don't know lots of people here so she has only a couple of friends for play dates. We currently do an activity in the morning every day - ballet Monday, scheduled play date Tuesday and swimming for ds (1yr), football Wednesday, Playgroup Thursday and swimming for dd on Friday and also a music class. It's a lot obviously but we are doing it because I want dd (and I) to meet more people and for her to spend time with other children.

I don't really want her going to preschool yet but maybe it's better than running around doing activities every day.

Wwyd? Activities or preschool? Preschool is bloody expensive too. $30 - 80 per day.
