My 3.6 year old son did the preschool assestment at the speech therapy clinic for speech and language and he scored 68 for receptive and 78 for expressive. I was told he scored in the special needs scoring. It broke my heart.
I got the results today and we did a bit of work but no homework as he already knew the work given.
So can you pls give me tips on doing some work for him or direct me to a website so i can get on top for teaching him?
As we access through the public system i am not seeing them often.

You should have been given specific targets and things to work on by the SALT.

This is a good website for Speech:

DS1 was assessed last week, I was given talkingpoint.org.uk to look at (haven't checked it yet).

mommyspeechtherapy.com/ - lots and lots of ideas for activities, as well as lots of downloadable resources (games/worksheets etc) and information.

www.afasic.org.uk/ - useful for advice on next steps, what to expect and who to contact etc as well as some downloadable information and resources sheets and a talk forum.

vj32 has already posted a link to iCan. They also have a sister-website called Talking Point which is a fantastic resource with lots of ideas for supporting your child's communication in an age-appropriate way.
