Do all nurseries take childcare vouchers?

I'm struggling to find a definitive answer to this online. Do all ofsted-registered nurseries have to accept childcare vouchers or is it optional?

I'm looking for a new nursery at the moment and wondering whether my first question has to be "do you take vouchers?" We have the vouchers so I'd be unlikely to look at somewhere that doesn't take them.

Agree with moaning. They don't have to, but most do (as do most CMs). Vouchers only benefit parents though. Not settings.

Most will register for them if they don't accept them already as it is straightforward process for them.

It's up to the nursery. I worked in a private day care setting before I had my daughter. For parents they accepted childcare vouchers, but as I was getting staff discount they wouldnt accept my daughter's dad vouchers. Needless to say, I left after maternity

In my experience, MOST do, yes. Although make sure you ask first.
