When should I hear if dd has a place (to start in Jan 2014)?

We have applied for a place in the nursery class at our local C of E school for the term after she is 3. This will be January so will I not hear if she's got a place until next term or might I hear soon?

Are you sure they do Jan intakes?
Round here everyone starts in Sept, whenever they turn 3. The letters then come out around Easter for the Sept start.
I'd ring to find out what intakes, and when they let people know.

I'm in London and we generally only have the September intake too now

Aha. I shall investigate.

Thanks!

I let parents know at the end of September/beginning of October.

Are you in Wales? That's the only place with the "rising 3" program, I do believe (where they start nursery the term after their 3rd birthday)?

DS1 will start in January 2014, and we'll find out on November 16th (not that I'm counting down or anything...)

And yep, to anyone wondering, that means he'll do 5 terms of nursery!

Beyond - I'm a teacher in a school based nursery in England and we take children from the term after they are 3, meaning that I have lots of children who do 5 or 4 terms.

Yep, I found out it wasnt just Wales after I posted... Blush

But still, nov 15th I find out (not 16th) so hope that helps :)

Ok, so I'll presumably find out after the summer.

Thanks all!
