I applied for DS2 to go into the nursery class of the school DS1 goes too just after he turned 2 as advised by HV.

Does anyone know when and how I will find out if he has a place?

Thanks

It should say in the booklet that was with the application form. Also try council website or just ring the nursery.

DS's prospective preschool lets us know in May for a September start.

Did you put his name on a waiting list for information, or actually fill in an application? We've had to fill in an online application through our county council to apply for a place in the nursery classes of local primary schools - we have to check online from the end of April to see if she's been allocated a place for September (we won't be notified by post). Then the clearing process starts once people have accepted or turned down places in early May. It could be very different in your area, though.

I found out about dd's place for nursery in a primary school via letter yesterday (she got a place Grin) but unlike reception places, nurseries don't have to release their decision on one particular day, but by may 10th at the latest
