Help me - what to bring into pre-school for hibernation topic - not an animal!!

Hi i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what my daughter could bring into pre-school next week for the topic of hibernation. Obviously i cannot bring an animal. Any ideas?

How about building a hibernation box for a (pretend/toy) hedgehog or tortoise - a sturdy cardboard box filled with hay or shredded paper and a paper mache animal that you could make and decorate together. That would be fun for your DD to make and quite easy (box, balloon, old newspaper, glue/wallpaper paste).
