Hello I have just started a blog all about activities and crafts that I do with my daughter (2 years). I hope that you can take a few minutes to look and find something helpful. This is a new venture and will continue to be added to on a daily basis. My aim is to provide parents with fun activities to do with their children. I also have a Facebook page if people prefer to join this way. Any comments on the blog are appreciated. Thanks

Do not know whether to be worried about the lack of responses or if this is possitive Smile

Great blog- sounds like you have a lovely time together! I'll be borrowing some of these ideas for my two preschool DDs if you don't mind! Wish more people posted interesting things like this in the Education section. Thank you!

Thank you I am really pleased with the positive responses I am receiving :) we shall promise to keep up the good work and provide some inspiring activities.

Well impressed as we even got a message through facebook from Jez Alborough the other day, commenting on how he was impressed with how we used the colour in activities provided on their website Grin on the review of his book "hug" that we did.

This week I have a few alphabet and shape recognition ideas along with We're going on a bear hunt review with ideas for additional activities to accompany the book. Hope you enjoy :)

Hope that you all like we're going on a bear hunt review and additional activities to go with the book. How many of us know this book off by heart?

Thanks for posting - you had some lovely ideas on your blog.

How do you find the time though? I would love to do more of this kind of stuff with my 2.4 y.o. but I just can't find the time for it. We go out all morning every morning. In the afternoons, we get up from our nap sloooowly, eat lunch (takes at least 45 mins), clear up after breakfast/lunch & do a bit of laundry, maybe go out for exercise, cook dinner, eat it, clear up and get DS ready for bed. I can't work out where to fit the fun stuff! :(

Bella2010star · 19/05/2012 22:46

Sounds like you both have fun together anyway:) to be honest we do a lot of the activities on an evening when I get back from work, or on my days off. I am also awful when it comes to housework it all waits till my daughters bedtime or my other half gets stuff done whilst we do our crafting. He is really good like that as he knows it keeps us both happy and more gets done when she is kept occupied.

Wow, you work as well?!

Thanks for your sympathy.

I'm rubbish at getting anything done in the evenings (DS goes to bed late & I'm usually too tired) & DH unfortunately doesn't have time to help with anything other than bills/finance stuff - not even looking after DS for long spells at the weekend so I can do things. So I can see that it'd be easier to do more if you have help at home - which is reassuring!

We did have a fun day today though which was nice. :)

I know this is a very old thread.

I hope I don't upset anyone by bumping it. I thought it might be useful to MyIronLung though.

The activities are quite interesting and kids will develop creativity in art, drawings.Other activities like toddler programs can also help them to develop coordination, language development. To know more about it check at www.callingallkidsagain.com/ .
