What can I do to prepare DS for preschool?

DS is starting preschool in September. It's attached to the primary school we hope he'll go to.
He'll only just be 3 (he's an August baby) and aside from playgroup, and his cousin, he hasn't spent much time with other children. He's very sociable, but is there anything I can do to prepare him for the change?

Is there anything he'll be expected to do?

TIA

Visits to the setting that you do together, little and often

Go to the local library and ask your librarian for any books about starting pre-school. i got a couple for my ds that we read together

Thanks, that's a good idea. Handily, the school is on the way to one of the libraries, so we can go past on the way.

When I went in to hand in the forms, preschool was just finishing, and he was pointing at all the children he'd never seen before, saying, 'that's my friend, and that's my friend,' so hopefully he'll love it.
