We have very recently moved to a new town away from all of our established network of friends etc in London. DD has started a new pre school but just for the 15 hours/week. She used to do 3 full days - and the rest of the time was filled easily with friends, park, cafe etc. Of course there are parks, cafes here, but we both need friends!

She used to do a gymnastics session in London which we are starting here and ballet (can only find one that suits on a saturday though) - but these only last 30-45 mins!

In terms of making friends, it seems a bit tricky with a 4 yr old - she is too old for playgroups and also so many people seem to have babies and/or older children and we dont quite fit in - has anyone any other ideas? She is depserate for some little pals to invite round and Im sure as she settles into pre school she will find some. Though there are only 2 other 4 year old girls there (lots of boys and 3 year olds).

Sorry for the ramble, any ideas on activities/kind of groups would be v useful.

Hi there

We are in Tun Wells too, there is a Mums Meet up every Wednesday afternoon locally for kids of varying ages ( see the local netmums page).

There is a gymnastics class on the North farm industrial estate,

There are also lots activities at the Tunbridge Wells leisure centre too.
