DS has been at a school nursery since September, and getting him in the door of the breakfast club has been like shoving a reluctant donkey. He has never had problems at his old nursery and doesn't seem to have any at the school nursery proper. It's just the breakfast club.
Finally this morning I worked it out - he's scared of the big kids there (it's a primary school not just infants). Asked him if this was the case and he said yes. Poor mite!
Managed to get him in by having a big chat about being brave, and stuff, but does anyone please have any tips as to how to cheer/pep up a 4yo who is feeling a bit intimidated?
