Headteacher grabbed DS by arm and yanked him along?

I was wondering what levels of discipline teachers are allowed use towards pupils?

My mum dropped my DS (2) at his nursery, then walked towards gates,as she turned to lock the gates she saw the headmistress grab his arm and pull him out of sight. He was just stood there, not misbehaving or anything.
Is this allowed?

i dont know if it is allowed but holding his hand to lead him would have been more appropriate. She may have meant and caused no harm but this action could be interpreted as aggression. The main concern is whether your son felt that way.

Thank you for replying! I do not want to create any problems for the headmistress or the nursery. But I will remove him from that nursery. I'm sure she was just having an off day.
