Does anyone take their child to Diddi Dance?

Hi all,

I've been a keen reader of these forums for awhile, but this is my first post - eek! I live near Worthing, and have been looking for more classes to take my 19mo to (she currently does tumble tots and a local music class). She is very keen on dance and I have come across Diddi Dance when browsing the internet. Has anyone been to this class? I rang up to enquire and was told that new classes will be started in the Worthing/Hove/Brighton area from September, they are just in the process of finalising locations. On the website there is a quote from Sarah Cox who says she loved it and highly recommends it. I'm a sucker for anything celeb endorsed (!) but wondered if anyone else has any experiences?

I took my DS to Diddidance last winter and he really enjoyed it. Tbh, the hour long class was too long to keep his attention throughout (he was 3 then), but its good fun and varied. It involves dancing, stretching, partnering (galloping the length of the hall with another child), waiting, taking turns, playing with props, moving to music throughout. And then the children do a bow at the end. Very sweet!

The plus for me is that you can sign up to just 5 classes in advance (£30) - lots of classes expect a 10 or 12 week commitment where we live.

It's quite a fun class although as they are so young I would say it's more movement than dance ? don't be expecting any routines! I know they take them from about 18 months but I think that's quite young, my DD and her friends are 2.9 and sometimes listen to the teacher and sometimes not ? it can be quite hard to get them to do what they're supposed to be doing! In my area you pay for 4 or 8 classes in advance but you can have a free trial so it's probably a good idea to try it and see how you get on.
