Preschools in Northwest London - applying while still pregnant?

I was just told by a mum in my area (NW3) that I should apply to preschools now (I am only 15 weeks pregnant!)

Has anyone else applied to preschools in this area while pregnant and if so, which ones did you apply to? And most importantly, do I really need to worry about this right now?

I live in NW8 and put my DDs name down in two private preschools when she was about 18 months old. NW3 might be a little like NW8 where it can be quite transient so you find that a lot of parents put their children's names down in a number of nurseries but then pull out.

My DD2 was put on the list in-utero but only by way of congratulations by the Headmistress. We did miss out on Highgate because I waited until DS1 was 9 months old. If you are worried, phone the schools that interest you. HHS will kindly but firmly tell you to go away, enjoy your pregnancy and call them when you have an actual baby.
