lowing whistle in classroom- hearing?

my ds is at a nursery where the classroom is small, the windows have to be closed and door shut due to the extreme heat (we are in the middle east)

The teacher has a whistle that she wears around her neck, like a sports whistle, and she seems to blow it ALL the time in the classroom and shout to get order. the teaching assistant in the nearby class says she blows in all the time.

I am worried about the effect on ds hearing and that he is not learning to behave ie its all raging out of control and she ends up losing control and has to blow this whistle.

does anyone else have this, do you know if it effects hearing? any help would be really good., thanks!

Probably wouldn't worry so much about his hearing but I would question the teaching methods that involve constant use of a whistle in a small space.

Personally I wouldn't be happy with the whistle blowing at all, is there an alternative nursery you could send him to?

thanks, i am going to ask the doctor then see the teacher/ school nurse and headmistress. agree strange method of keeping controll though. all the boys ignore her anyway no matter how much she blows it according to ds.....

Sounds very odd.
