DS gets his nursery funding after Easter so we are looking at his nursery next week and they are coming to our home as well.

What sort of things should I be looking for and what sort of questions do you ask?

New at this. Smile

Hi, DD2 at nursery and DD3 due to start after Easter too. Firstly you want to check the security when you go, how easy is it for you to enter, how difficult would it be for a child to get out. We could see by looking around there were lots of toys and activities, and that the children there were happy and it's turned out to be a really good choice.

Questions you should ask are anything you feel relevant to your child, ie. going to the toilet, available snacks, help putting coats etc on if their playing outside, their dicipline techniques. Usually most nurserys try to encourage the older kids to help the newer ones, you could ask if the have a buddy system. I've taken to lists, keep a bit paper handy and if anything crosses your mind over the next few weeks, jot it down so you remember when they come, it might only be a little thing that you'd wished youd asked at the time. Hope this helps a bit:)
