government funding for 3-4 year olds?

hello, my son will be 3 in April, he goes to full time nursery at the mo, does the gov contribute a % towards nursery cost when he reaches 3?

He will get 15 hours of free education from 1st September.

Yes but not until the term after he turns three, so for your DS it will be from September this year, in other words for a year as he will (I imagine) start school Sept 2012.

But I think it'll depend on whether your nursery uses the scheme. I've heard that there are some who have opted out.

If you check with them they'll be able to give you the details.

@Pigeon oh right...maybe i will call them tomorrow to confirm, if they have opted out we might stay anyway as all hes friends are there :( thanks guys.
