Please help!
I registered my dd at a local private schools nursery in may 2010, to start after this Easter when she gets her grant at 3.
As I registered her last may and told them what sessions I wanted to do , I thought it was all sorted. I signed all the forms etc.

However, I have just had a email from the nursery saying she can' t do any of the sessions I requested. When I registered , as it was nearly a year before I started , they said I did not need to decide the sessions then. So I phoned a week later and told them and they said it would be fine. I also have a copy of the email from them confirming one of the days I had said she wanted to do prior to the phone call.

I am so angry they have offered me a tues morn which is no good. Or afternoons! Am I wrong to think this should have been sorted?
A but worried now.

bettie sorry you are a bit worried but can't see how they could have kept the sessions you wanted free without loosing money unless you were paying a retainer.

Is there an alternative? Our DD doesn't attend the local Preschool as its shite it didn't meet our expectations but DD attends the pre-school room in a local Nursery for her free sessions. Could that work for you?

Sadly these are businesses and need to fill their spaces all year round - we ask for a preference but make no promises.

mind you we are not private, surely if you are paying extra you should get more say.

When we registered our DD for her nursery school place (to take up around her 3rd birthday) we were asked for our preference/requirements for sessions but also told they couldn't guarantee our exact choices. I was working 4 days at the time M-Th.
When they offered us a place, they actually offered us a term early, but then not the 4 days we needed, luckily I was able to change my working day pattern to take up the place.

We still have to request our sessions for each half term in advance - they are constantly having to re-gig depending on leavers/joiners and changes in circumstances ..
Good luck finding something that works for you.
