Which is best, consecutive days or spread across the week?

I'm going to try my dd (3) at nursery after Christmas, initially for 3 afternoons/week. I now have to tell the nursery which days we want. It doesn't matter to me which afternoons she goes as I'm a SAHM - does anyone have any views about whether it's best for her if I keep them consecutive eg Mon, Tues, Weds, or to spread them out to give her a bit of a break eg Mon, Tues, Thurs/Fri? I think she's going to struggle as she's never been left by me before, if that makes any difference!
Thanks!

I think I'd spread them if the setting can accommodate it. If you do say Mon Tue Wed, there is then a gap of 4 days before she goes again, long time to remember it. Whereas spreading it out say MOn Wed Fri is only 2 days before she goes again.

Also, preschool may well tire her, so you get a catchup day in between.

Spread them if you can.

I work in a pre-school and children generally settle better when the days are spread.

Thanks for your comments, that's really helpful. I'd thought doing consecutive days would be best for consistency, but I see the point about the big 4 day gap , so now I think I'll go for alternate days if I can.
