I have looked at ofsted and some sites though most websites are very basic. I like the ethos of the school in Cound but is too far out. I was hoping for some personal recommendations.

Thanks for replying

I`ll defintely check those out . I love the name Honeybuns. Its the childs happiness that is most important. If the staff are caring and if they learn while having fun.

I'm not sure if you mean a Nursery ie paid for child care, or Pre School as in attached to a school??? Sorry, not sure of the correct titles!

My DD went to NuNu Nursery from 2 yrs to 4 yrs and had a wonderful time - It's purpose built, safe, clean and quite new. They have a Forest School and loads of outdoor space. DD used to HATE coming home!

She was also given the opportunity to learn to read at around 3 - never pushed, but her key worker used to spend time with her doing so. She could write her name by the time she left too - something she was really excited about!

I toured quite a few nurseries in Shrewsbury when I was still deciding and saw some horrors.

I didnt like Earlyworld, found it dirty and too noisy for my PFB but a friends child went there and was happy - I know they are a feeder for the local primary too.

Twyford Tots was horrendous (IMHO), frayed dirty carpet and 2 babies crawling around the kitchen floor whilst a nursery worker boiled a kettle when I went to visit (disclaimer - this was in 2007 - it could have improved). Also left my friends DD in wet nappies too long - she would have nappy rash all week that miraculously disappeared over the weekend. Friend finally left and joined NuNu too.

All personal preference, and all from some time agao, so may not be as much help as I would have hoped.
