Can you appeal a preschool place? Withdrawn offer.

Under what rounds can they withdraw a preschool place? If it was offered in writing? Can you appeal or is that only for primary places?

What type of pre-school is it? Committee led/private/LEA?

I don't believe a "formal" appeal process exists but I guess you could complain to the nursery manager or school head.

I would imagine the main reason for withdrawing a place would be that they had mistakenly "accepted" too many children. As pre-schools have to adhere to strict adult/child ratios there is not a lot that appealing would do, although you could of course ask to go on a waiting list.

If you felt that your child had been discriminated against in some way it would definitely be worth raising with the nursery manager and potentially then with Ofsted.
