I use a CD/DVD marker it never washes out so don't need to keep checking and reappling.

Look for a SHarpie. YOu can get them quite cheaply in Wilko. THey will mark anything pretty much.

Keep them under lock & key for obvious reasons.....Grin

I've been using the iron on name tapes from easy2name.

They stay on very well and are very easy to spot in ds's clothes

Bog standard biro, except for shiny type plastic things, then it's permanent marker.

Seona1973 · 15/09/2010 11:07

you can buy laundry markers - I got ours in mothercare years ago but have seen them in the supermarket too. Sharpie does a laundry marker too as well as the other permanent markers.

We've found a company called attach-a-tag, no sewing!! The tags are printed with your childs name, and are basically a plastic button that screws through a seam or label and can only be removed with the special tool that comes as part of the pack, or has to be cut out. We found that they are great for bags, blazers, even socks [my daughter school insists that even these are named!] I wish I'd found them years ago as I hate sewing and the iron on ones are rubbish! [No I don't work for the company, but should have shares as have recommended them to everyone I know!!].
